Interpreter Volunteer

To ensure that language is not a barrier to receiving the health care that our patients need, Community Health Connect ensures that each patient who requests it is provided with a trained interpreter to accompany them to their appointments. While our greatest need is for interpreters who are bilingual in Spanish, other languages are occasionally needed. Experience with medical and dental terminology is helpful, but not required.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Must speak English and Spanish
• Must commit to volunteer for at least 1 semester (Spring, Summer, Fall)
• Must attend a one-time interpreter training
• Must attend a monthly volunteer meeting
• Must pass a state background check

Client Relations Specialist

If you are positive, compassionate, and looking for a way to make a difference in your community, join our team. As a client relations specialist, you will work directly with our clients in person and over the phone to assist them in receiving the health care they need. You must speak both English and Spanish fluently.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Must speak English and Spanish
• Must commit to volunteer for at least 1 semester (Spring, Summer, Fall)
• Must commit to one shift a week, 2-3 hours
• Must attend a monthly volunteer meeting
• Must pass a state background check

Marketing and Recruitment Volunteer

As a marketing and recruitment volunteer, you will assist in the recruitment and development of the Volunteer Provider Network. These medical and dental providers partner with Community Health Connect to donate their services to our clients. Public speaking, development, and communications skills are helpful, but not required.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Spanish is not needed
• Must commit to volunteer for at least 1 semester (Spring, Summer, Fall)
• Must commit to one shift a week, 2-3 hours
